Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to every submission Titan grades. Please read them before you send cards. They cover how we grade, what we are responsible for, how payment and returns work, and what happens when a card cannot be graded.
Last updated October 6, 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms apply between Titan Grading Labs LLC ("Titan", "we", "us") and anyone who submits cards to Titan for grading, authentication, encapsulation, or custom labeling ("you").
By submitting an order, dropping cards off, or mailing cards to Titan, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not submit cards.
You must be 18 or older to open an account and submit an order. A parent or guardian must submit on behalf of anyone under 18, using their own account and their own email address.
2. Grading is an opinion
A Titan grade is our professional opinion of a card's condition at the time we examined it. It is not a statement of fact, a guarantee of value, and not a promise that another grading company would reach the same conclusion.
Grading is subjective. Reasonable, experienced graders disagree. Submitting a card to Titan means accepting that the grade we assign is the grade, and that a different opinion elsewhere does not make ours an error.
We grade on centering, corners, edges, and surface, and we report subgrades alongside the final grade so you can see how we reached it.
3. What you are responsible for before sending
You are responsible for documenting the condition of your cards before they leave your hands. Photograph both sides of every card. If a dispute ever arises about condition on arrival, your photographs are the evidence.
Titan video records the opening and initial intake of submitted packages, for order documentation, security, condition verification, and liability purposes.
Every card must be in a penny sleeve and a snug-fitting top loader. Do not send cards that are not listed on your order. Cards that arrive unlisted may be returned ungraded at your cost.
4. Declared value and insurance
You set a declared value for each card. That value is what you believe the raw card is worth today. It determines service eligibility, insurance, and return-shipping protection.
Declared values must be reasonable and accurate. If a declared value looks clearly wrong we may adjust it and tell you before grading begins.
Titan's liability for any card is limited to its declared value, and in no case exceeds the amount actually recoverable under the applicable shipping insurance. Understating a card's value to save money means capping what you can recover for it.
5. Getting cards to Titan
Mail-in submissions must be sent by USPS only. Titan receives mail at a PO Box and cannot accept UPS, FedEx, DHL, or any other private carrier. Packages sent by another carrier may be refused or returned by the carrier, and Titan is not responsible for what happens to them.
Mail to: T.G.L., PO Box 168, Plain City, OH 43064
Local drop-off is at Hometown Huddle, 265 W Main St, Plain City, OH 43064 during normal business hours. Bring your printed order form or packing slip.
Until your cards are in Titan's hands and marked received in the portal, they are your property in transit and your risk. Buy tracked shipping and keep the receipt.
6. Turnaround times
Turnaround times shown on the pricing page are estimates, not guarantees. The clock starts on the day Titan marks your cards received, not the day you placed or paid for the order, so shipping time is never counted against your turnaround.
Where an order contains more than one label type, the longest turnaround on the order applies to the whole order, because the order is worked as one batch.
Titan will tell you the estimated completion date when your cards are received, and you can see it at any time in the portal.
Delays caused by events outside our control, including carrier delays, supply shortages, and equipment failure, do not entitle you to a refund of grading fees.
7. Payment, fees, and saved cards
Grading fees are charged at checkout and are based on the service you select for each card. Prices are per card and shown before you pay.
A one-time return packaging and handling fee is included in every online checkout. Local pickup carries no later return charge.
If your order returns by mail, you authorize Titan to charge your saved payment method later for the actual carrier label, insurance, and any documented additional charge connected to your submission. Titan does not mark up carrier costs.
Titan never sees or stores your full card number. Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own systems.
Where an order requires a correction, return-shipping charge, refund, Titan credit, or additional charge, Titan records the amount and the reason in the portal and provides a receipt or notification.
8. Cards we cannot grade
Some cards cannot receive a numeric grade. These include cards we determine to be altered, counterfeit, or otherwise ungradable, and cards we reject for any other documented reason.
Cards in these categories are not encapsulated and are returned to you with the rest of your order.
When a card is rejected, altered, counterfeit, or ungradable, Titan issues Titan store credit for the grading fee you actually paid for that card. Credit is issued when the cards are physically handed back to you or shipped, not at the point we make the call, so that a grader can revise a decision until the order leaves.
9. Titan store credit is not a refund
Titan store credit is an internal balance on your Titan account. It can be used against future Titan orders.
Store credit is not money, is not redeemable for cash, and is not returned to your card. It does not expire.
Credit is always issued at the price actually paid for the card in question, not at Titan's current published price for that service.
10. Custom and specialty labels
Custom labels are produced to the specification you provide at checkout. A custom card is a product delivered as ordered: it carries no numeric grade, receives no quality-control grade review, and is not eligible for store credit on the basis of its grade.
Horizontal labels are only available in 35pt thickness. Thicker cards cannot be encapsulated horizontally. If you select a horizontal label for a thicker card, Titan will contact you to choose a different label, which may delay the order.
Cards manufactured before 1980 receive Titan's Vintage label. Other label options are not available for those cards.
Titan will not produce a label that infringes a third party's trademark or copyright, or that contains offensive content. We will contact you for an alternative.
11. Returning your cards
You choose at checkout whether your cards return by mail or by local pickup.
Shipped returns are insured to the total declared value of the order, subject to the carrier's limits. Titan is not liable for loss or damage in transit beyond what the carrier's insurance pays.
Local pickup is at Hometown Huddle, 265 W Main St, Plain City, OH 43064. We will tell you when your order is ready. Orders left uncollected for more than 90 days after we notify you may be returned by mail at your cost, charged to your saved payment method.
12. Disputes and regrades
If you believe Titan has made a factual error on your order, such as the wrong card, the wrong label, or a wrong detail printed on the slab, contact us within 14 days of receiving the order and we will correct it at our cost.
A disagreement with the grade itself is not a factual error. Titan does not offer free regrades on the basis of grade disagreement. You may resubmit a card as a new order at standard pricing.
Claims for loss or damage must be raised within 14 days of delivery or pickup, and are limited as described in sections 4 and 11.
13. Cancellation
You can cancel an order at any time before Titan marks your cards received, for a full refund of grading fees.
Once grading has started, grading fees are not refundable. If you ask us to stop, we will return the cards in their current state and no further work will be done.
Titan may cancel and return an order at any point if we determine the cards fall outside what we accept, if a declared value cannot be reconciled, or if an account has been restricted.
14. Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your password secure.
Titan may restrict or close an account that submits counterfeit material, repeatedly misrepresents declared values, abuses staff, or charges back a legitimate payment.
Titan Verify pages for cards we have graded remain publicly searchable by certification number after your order closes. They show the card and its grade, not your identity.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Titan's total liability arising out of any order is limited to the greater of the grading fees you paid for that order or the declared value of the affected cards, subject to section 4.
Titan is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost sale opportunity, or change in a card's market value.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Changes to these terms
Titan may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the version published on the date you submitted it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of Union County, Ohio.
